President-Presides at all meetings
-Appoints standing and special committees -Assists troupe director with the supervision of troupe activities -Will help plan troupe activities -Will be present at, or has a representative at all troupe activities. -Student liaison to theatre boosters -Helps to direct strike -Forms and leads the Theatre advocacy committee -Plans advocacy events and ON’s participation in Theatre Advocacy day at the capital. -This position is for seniors only |
Senior Vice President-Presides in absence of President. -Assists and helps complete other officers’ work assignments if needed. -Forms and leads Events or Social Committee. - Helps to arrange events for the year including thespian retreat, TOTS-EAT, thespian induction, end of the year awards, cast and crew parties, and any other seasonal or show related events -Works with other officers to share information about banquet, including to middle schools -Coordinates outside of school production visits including those that troupe members are involved in. -Helps in the induction of new members, including in the collection of induction materials -Confirms officers’ cubbies are cleaned and organized weekly -Assists costume crew and verifies completion of strike in the dressing room. -This position is for seniors only |
Junior Vice President-In absence of President, assists SVPs in presiding. -Works with President to help lead troupe. -Serves as the Troupe’s Student State Board Member to State Thespian Festival. -Takes over for lower positions when needed. -Forms and leads Treasurer and Fundraiser Committee. -Helps troupe director keep troupe and department financial records. -Comes up with unique and practical fundraising ideas to share with troupe and boosters. -Works with Theatre Booster’s Treasurer. -Assists with money collection (t-shirts, food, induction, etc) -Assists in the scene shop during strike. -Checks in with Shop Foreman (or Tech Director in Absence of Shop Foreman) to bring tech needs to the Officers. -Verifies and confirms completion of tech inventories throughout the year. Discrepancies are reported to troupe director. -This position is for juniors only |
Sophomore Officer (Sophofficer)-Will serve as the representative for all students in grades sophomore and below. -Should bring concerns of these students to the officers. -Will be charge of assisting the props crew during strike and confirm props completion. -Will form and lead a new student and recruitment committee. -Should be present and assisting with introduction to theatre and/or other similar events. -Will help plan and attend club and activity fair days and events. -Serves as the first line of contact to 8th graders and middle school students. -Helps plan and if possible attends 8th grade visit days or MS theatre connection days. -Will be in charge of straightening the student side of theatre office at least once a month. -Has first right of refusal to serve as the second student state board member for state thespian festival. -This position is for sophomores only. |
Secretary-Keeps records and minutes of all meetings. -Will be in charge of attendance and points for all meetings and activities. -Will be in charge of the points record system -Keeps the points records of all activities including plays, production dates, casts, crews and work accomplished as provided in the official point system. -Forms and Leads Secretary, correspondence, and Points Committee. -Attends to troupe correspondence, including thank yous and break a leg notes for other schools. -Serves as the first line of spell check and editing for Troupe Director -Assists with work on the program for all shows -Assists with making banquet invitations -Submits written announcements for school announcements with approval of troupe director -Assists in posting points and adjusting cabinets at least once a season. -The person holding this position should have a solid grasp of the English Language. |
Webmaster/Historian (Webstorian)-Has access to assist in updating the theatre website. -In charge of updating the Google Calendar -Forms and leads the Webstorian Committee. -Takes or finds someone to take pictures of all events, plays, workdays, casts, crews, and thespian events -Finds and keeps news clippings, posters, and programs for historical usage. -Makes some type of historical document (PowerPoint, scrapbook, etc.) for the year. -Files and maintains department historical documents including pictures and other items. -Assists in updating the department website at least once a month. -Helps to promote Troupe activities and events on social media. By posting at least once a week. |
